Here’s a particularly nice MIJ Mustang bass, that’s just had a setup and service, here @tymguitars It’s already spoken for, but I’ve had a good time with it while it’s been to stay. The very unique sound of these may not be to everyone’s taste, they can be a little “plunky”, but with the right setup and string gauges, they go pretty darn well! While there was a fair amount of work to do, everything in/on this bass did what it was meant to, to allow for a good setup. It may come as a surprise, but this is certainly not always the case…if you get an instrument back from me and I say “oh yeah, that’s a good one”, it probably means I didn’t have to move mountains to get it playing well.
