About 15 months ago, I went on a reckless mission to buy as many beat up and busted guitars as possible, with the intention of trying my hand at repairs I’d not yet had the chance to “perform”. This Fernandes FR-something something, was going to be a full polyurethane refinish job, but once I got my hands on it, I seriously loved just how beat it was and decided to just seal the exposed timber and then rebuild it. I ended up getting rather busy, so I shelved this and about 6 other guitars until I dug them out this week. After a rewire and setup, this thing is super rad, I’ve never had a guitar with the action so slammed and playing so well at the same time, it’s nuts.
