Look, I don’t know about this either… I think my purchase on a whim attitude is getting out of control. It’s a 2002 made, but not released until 2003 Affinity Squier. While it’s true that there is a lot of talk out there regarding 20th anniversary Squiers, this isn’t one of those…in fact it’s a little more special as (after MUCH sleuthing) I found that it’s actually one of the 2003 Aztec Gold Limited Edition Affinity’s. What does that all mean? Well, at the very least it is solid Alder, and, actually that’s the main thing…was the main thing until I threw in a set of custom shop pickups, swapped out the single ply White pickguard (that might go back on, it’s just sitting in a puddle of tea right now) and gave it a full switch and pot upgrade. Not as dramatic as my general mods, but like, it’s pretty dramatic looking.
