How thick is the factory polyurethane finish on a Squier VM Jaguar SS Bass guitar you ask very specifically? Well, I’ve just started stripping one to do a custom finish, so now you know - 1mm. 

I’m not getting into the debate about tonewoods (ever hopefully), but how about tone paint mwahahahaha.
